Strandberg, Koehl Garner CUSA Pair of the Week Honors

BOCA RATON, Fla. – No. 13 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball's pair of Olivia Strandberg and Ava Koehl were named the Conference USA Pair of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The honor marks the second for the Sandy Owls this season, and the first career weekly honors for Strandberg and Koehl.
Strandberg and Koehl had a career weekend during the Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational. The pair finished the weekend 3-1, earning wins over No. 7 Florida State, No. 6 TCU, and Tampa. Strandberg and Koehl opened the weekend with a straight-set win at the 2s against No. 7 Florida State, 22-20, 21-18. The duo then closed out play on Saturday with the best win of their careers, sweeping reigning national champion and No. 6-ranked TCU's 2s pair, 21-19, 21-16. On Sunday, the pair finished the weekend with their third straight-set win of the tournament on court two, sweeping Tampa, 21-18, 21-19.

This weekend, the Sandy Owls head to Jacksonville to compete in North Florida's Tournament on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21, taking on No. 15 Stetson, Saint Leo, and host No. 16 North Florida.
