BOCA RATON, Fla. – Head Coach
Steve Grotowski and the Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team have announced their upcoming 2026 season schedule, which will kick off on February 20.
The Sandy Owls are set to compete in eight tournaments during the 2026 regular season, visiting Florida State, Coastal Carolina, North Florida, Texas, and Washington, in addition to hosting three home tournaments, two in Boca Raton and one in Pompano Beach. Florida Atlantic will begin postseason play in Youngsville, Louisiana, for the Conference USA Championship, and will seek its fourth national appearance in Gulf Shores, Alabama, for the 2026 NCAA Championship.
Florida Atlantic will kick off the 2026 season in Paradise, hosting the Beach Burrow Bash on Feb. 20-21, welcoming Coastal Carolina, Boise State, Palm Beach Atlantic, and FIU. FAU will then begin its road slate in Tallahassee as the Sandy Owls compete in the Seminole Beach Bash on Feb. 27-28, facing off against UNC Wilmington, North Florida, and host Florida State.
The Sandy Owls will open the month of March in South Carolina as they compete in the Chanticleer Challenge on March 6-7. Florida Atlantic will face CUSA rival Tulane, Cal Poly, Georgia State, and host Coastal Carolina. The Sandy Owls return home on March 14-15 to host the Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational, welcoming Florida State, reigning national champion TCU, USC, and Tampa. FAU heads back on the road on March 20-21, heading to Jacksonville to compete in North Florida's tournament, facing Stetson, host North Florida, and Saint Leo twice. The Sandy Owls wrap up March play in the Lone Star State, competing at the Texas Invitational against USC, Long Beach, Stanford, and UCLA.
FAU kicks off the month of April in Paradise, hosting the Capri Classic for senior weekend against North Florida, Jacksonville, Stephen F. Austin, and FGCU. The Sandy Owls will wrap up the regular season on the road, visiting Seattle, Washington for the Alki Beach Invitational on April 17-18, taking on Oregon, Portland, Boise State, and host Washington.
The Conference USA Championship will kick off postseason play in Youngsville, Louisiana on April 23-25, followed by the NCAA Championship on May 1-3 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
