GREENSBORO, Ga. – Florida Atlantic women's golf (+50) tied for ninth at Sunday's Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite hosted by Mercer. On a difficult day to score in Middle Georgia, Virginia Tech (+4) outlasted the field to win the team competition by seven shots over runner-up UNC-Greensboro. South Dakota State's McKenzie Mages earned medalist honors with a finishing total of -4.

Quick Hits

Tina Genoulaz had the Owls' best round on Sunday with a 74 (+2) to tie for 25th.
Nancy Cox also tied for 25th despite a final round 78 on Sunday.
Virginia Tech posted a team score of +1 on Sunday – the Hokies were the only team in the field to post a score in the single digits over par.
Western Kentucky was the next closest at +10. The Owls were +26.
The field average was 77.45 for the final round, up a full two shots from the second round, which was played on Friday.
