ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team returned to the road where they fell 4-0 to host UCF, Friday night.
The loss moves FAU's record to 3-4 on the year, while the Knights improve to 6-1.
THE BEGINNING
The Owls used new lineups in both doubles and singles on Friday night.
Lara Smejkal and
Panna Bartha picked up a 6-2 win on court #1. UCF captured court #3 with the decider on court #2 going to the Knights by a 7-5 score to give the host the first point of the match.
THE MIDDLE
The two teams moved to singles play only to see the Knights pick up a two-set win on court #3, and less than 15 minutes later, UCF was up 3-0, needing just one more for the match.
THE FINISH
The match was clinched on court #5 with three courts in play and ending with the contest decided.

The Owls will follow up Friday's match with a Sunday home contest versus Princeton. That match can be followed via live stats

On February 28-March 1, FAU will be in Tampa. The Owls will play Charlotte in a neutral-site match on the 28th and will then play host USF on Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m. The USF match can be watched on Playsight.
