BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley will return to the podium Tuesday, Oct. 13 for the Owls' weekly press conferences, airing live on ESPN+ at 12 p.m.
The second-year head coach is joined weekly by two players, this time by sophomore WR Branden Hoch and graduate LB Leon Hart Jr.
This week, Kittley and the Owls will preview the upcoming contest at Army on Saturday, Oct. 17. It will be the first time FAU has traveled to West Point and the second meeting between the two schools.
Florida Atlantic football is enjoying its longest win streak since 2020 and while the squad has built an early 4-1 record, including a 3-1 non-conference mark, the best in program history, the page will turn to a full American Conference slate. Saturday's contest is the second of three option style teams the Owls will face this season including Navy, Army and Rice. FAU defeated Navy 38-30 in game two while Army is this week and Rice will follow in Boca Raton, on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Through the first five games of 2026, FAU's high-flying offense has scored a program best 186 points.. But the most pivotal difference in this season's start and the start in 2025 is turnover margin. This time a year ago, the Owls held a -2.0 turnover margin and were ranked 134th among 138 teams. This season, FAU holds a +1.0 turnover margin and is ranked No. 19 nationally.
