BOCA RATON, Fla. – Ahead of the 2026 season, the Florida Atlantic softball team is represented by
Makenna Lee and
Lily Lowery on D1Softball's D100 Freshman Watch List, announced on Monday morning.
This marks the second year in a row in which two Owls have made the watch list. Last season's members,
Bella Foran and
Destiny Johns, both had successful first-year campaigns that culminated in them earning spots on the American Conference's All-Freshmen teams.

Lee, a pitcher from Ellenton, Florida, arrives to Paradise after playing at Palmetto High School and the Lady Lightning Gold club team, while Lowery, a utility player from Athens, Alabama, played her high school career at Athens and participated in club play with Alabama Sparks Elite 18U.
The duo will look to contribute to the Owls' campaign for their third consecutive American Conference regular season title and make their third NCAA Regional appearance in three seasons. FAU's regular season begins on Thursday, Feb. 5.
