BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2025 NFL Divisional Round has concluded with two former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action on an active roster and another on a practice squad. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the second weekend of the postseason (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls in the Divisional (2) #0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- Despite Houston's season coming to an end with a 28-16 loss to the New England Patriots, Al-Shaair had a team-high nine tackles. He also recovered two fumbles, his first takeaways of his playoff career, to keep the game within reach.
#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Houston Texans
- Bryant saved his best for last, with a season-high three receptions for 21 yards. He recorded a start and saw the field for a playoff career-high 29 snaps on offense, while also adding 11 on special teams.
Practice Squad (1) #62 Federico Maranges | C | Seattle Seahawks Next Game: vs. L.A. Rams – Sunday, 3:30 p.m. (CBS)
In total, seven former Florida Atlantic Owls saw the field in an NFL game during the 2025 season with three more seeing time on a team's practice squad. Former FAU players appeared in 75 games and made 34 starts in 2025. For the fifth consecutive season, an FAU Owl (Al-Shaair) made the Pro Bowl.
