BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls look to continue their two-game winning streak on Friday as they host the UTSA Roadrunners for a 7 p.m. tip at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on ESPN+.

A LOOK AT THE OWLS

The Owls enter Friday's contest at 8-9 overall and 2-3 in American play and are currently riding a two-game winning streak after earning victories at UAB, 70-63, and against Wichita State, 88-64.
As a team, the Owls currently lead the American in bench points per game (26.1), in addition to ranking second in 3-point attempts per game (22.8), third in steals per game (9.7) and 3-pointers made per game (7.1), and fifth in free throw attempts per game (18.1) and turnovers forced per game (18.1).
The Owls' offense is paced by Vivian Onugha and Destyne Jackson. Onugha leads the team, scoring 9.9 points per game, while Jackson ranks second on the team, averaging 8.6 points per contest this season.
On the glass, the Owls are led by Haley Walker and Onugha. Walker has tallied a team-leading 6.9 rebounds per game, while Onugha ranks second on the team, collecting 6.0 boards per game.
FAU's assist leader is Jess Moors, who has dished out a team-best 3.2 assists per game. Moors also leads the team in steals, collecting a team-best 1.9 per contest, which ranks seventh in the league.
The Owls' blocking leader is Madi Gewirtz, who boasts a team-best 1.3 blocks per game and ranks fourth in the American.

SCOUTING UTSA

UTSA enters Friday's matchup at 8-7 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Roadrunners dropped their last contest, falling 70-53 in a road matchup at South Florida on Tuesday.
As a team, the Roadrunners lead the American in field goal percentage defense (37.3) and fewest fouls per game (16.3), while also ranking second in rebounding margin (4.2) and scoring defense (58.9), third in 3-point percentage defense (.293), fourth in defensive rebounds per game (26.9), and fifth in rebounds per game (39.8).
The Roadrunners are led offensively by Cheyenne Rowe and Ereauna Hardaway, averaging 12.5 and 10.1 points per game, respectively.
Rowe also paces the Roadrunners on the glass, collecting a team-best 8.8 rebounds per game.
Hardaway leads the team in assists and steals. She has dished out a team-best 5.0 assists per game and collected a team-high 1.9 steals per contest.
The Roadrunners' blocks leader is Mia Hammons, who has recorded 0.9 blocks per game this season.

SERIES HISTORY

UTSA leads the all-time series 11-8, however, Florida Atlantic leads 5-3 when playing in Boca Raton. The Owls will look to snap a five-game skid against the Roadrunners. FAU's last win came on Jan. 19, 2023, which saw the Owls earn an 81-66 win over UTSA in Boca Raton. In the last meeting between the two teams, UTSA won 60-42 on March 1, 2025, last season.

LAST TIME OUT: VS. WICHITA STATE

The Owls earned their second-straight conference win on Tuesday, earning a dominant 88-64 win over the Wichita State Shockers.
Five Owls scored double figures in the win, marking the first time since Nov. 14, 2022, that five Owls registered double figures in a contest.
Michiyah Simmons and Onugha led the way for the Owls, scoring 17 and 16 points, respectively, while Grace Carstensen, Moors, and Gewirtz rounded out the Owls' double-figure scorers, tallying 15, 11, and 10 points, respectively.
Onugha finished with her second double-double of the season, collecting a game-best 10 rebounds against the Shockers.
Simmons and Zahira Arizmendi tied for a game-best four assists apiece, while Simmons also tallied a team-high two steals in the win.
Florida Atlantic dominated in the first three quarters of the game, outscoring the Shockers 22-14 in the first, 23-11 in the second, and 22-18 in the third.
The Owls also outshot the Shockers from the field, 51.6 percent to 33.8 percent, and from beyond the arc, 42.3 percent to 15 percent.
FAU also had advantages in rebounds, 44-36, points off turnovers, 21-17, and points in the paint, 42-38.
