19th-Ranked Owls Begin Four-Match Road Stretch

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 19 Florida Atlantic men's soccer is on the road for the next four matches, starting with a trip to Jacksonville to face UNF on Thursday night. The Owls will then head to DeLand, Florida, on Sunday for a matchup with Stetson. Both matches can be streamed live on ESPN+.
Note: Thursday's match is part of a women's/men's doubleheader for UNF. As a result, the start time for the men's game may be delayed from its 7 p.m. scheduled kickoff.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- The Owls are 3-0-0 for the first time since 2021 and the fourth time in program history.
- Florida Atlantic earned a national ranking for the first time as a Division I program last week and moved up three places to No. 19 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll.
- The Owls enter Thursday's match with 298 all-time program victories.
- Alfred Mikkelsen is looking to become the first goalkeeper in program history to record four straight clean sheets.
- Phillip Lamarre holds the record for most consecutive minutes without allowing a goal. In September 2007, Lamarre went 275:09 without conceding.
- Mikkelsen will start Thursday at an even 270 minutes.
ABOUT THE OSPREYS
- UNF is 1-3 after a pair of losses in California this past week.
- The Ospreys started the season with a 1-0 victory over Wisconsin before falling to Marquette, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Irvine.
ABOUT THE HATTERS
- Stetson is 1-3 with a win over Presbyterian and losses to Penn State, No. 17 Virginia, and Georgia Southern.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Owls shut out UNF 2-0 last season and lead the all-time series 9-4-1.
- Last year's matchup with Stetson ended with a 5-1 victory for the Owls. The match started on August 29 when Mamadou Diarra scored a first-half hat trick. Weather then interfered, and the game was officially completed nearly two months later on October 22.
- Florida Atlantic is 25-16-3 all-time against Stetson.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Owls will venture outside the state of Florida to face No. 5 NC State on Saturday, September 13.
