BOCA RATON, Fla. – For the first time in program history, Florida Atlantic men's golf is receiving votes in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll. The Owls, along with Northwestern and Stanford, earned 15 votes toward a place in the Top 25, slotting them into a tie for No. 39.
The Owls started the fall season with a team victory at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate, led by individual Top 10 finishes from
Biagio Gagliardi (2nd),
NaShawn Tyson (T3), and
Guilherme Grinberg (T8). They'll look to go back-to-back when they head to Alabama on Monday for the Graeme McDowell Invite hosted by UAB.
Head Coach Adrien Mork
"I am happy to see the first coaches' poll of the year has our team on the verge of the Top 25. We had a great performance in Myrtle Beach and it's good to see we are getting some national recognition. It's a big step for our program. I'm looking forward to the next few events."
Florida Atlantic men's golf previously reached its highest ranking in the 2019-20 season, finishing inside the Top 100 for the first time at No. 93.
