BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic junior pitcher Todd Kniebbe has signed a professional contract with the Baltimore Orioles, the club announced on Thursday.
Â
"I am so happy for Todd," noted Head Coach John McCormack. "He has worked extremely hard, and he earned this. Good luck to him as he starts his professional career."
Â
Kniebbe missed the 2025 season due to injury but has bounced back in a big way with the Keene Swamp Bats of the Northeast Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) this summer. The native of Debary, Fla. has a 0.81 ERA to go along with 23 strikeouts in 11 innings.
Â
With the addition of Kniebbe, 18 former Owls are now signed to active professional contracts. Since McCormack took over head coaching duties in 2009, 110 players have signed contracts to continue their professional baseball careers.Â
