BOCA RATON, Fla. – The American Conference has announced league play opponents and locations for the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team ahead of the 2025-26 season. Dates and times will be announced by the conference at a later date.
For their lone matchups in 2026, the Owls will host Charlotte, East Carolina, and Tulsa. FAU finished with a combined 6-0 record against these three teams in the previous season. On the road, the Florida Atlantic will meet North Texas, Rice, and UAB for the only time.
Making a trip to Paradise as well as holding a home game versus Florida Atlantic will be Memphis, South Florida, Temple, Tulane, UTSA, and Wichita State. The Memphis Tigers, the reigning conference champions, are the only team in the American to face the Owls twice in each of their first three regular seasons.
Entering their third season in the American, the Owls have tallied a record of 24-12 in league play, tied for the second most wins in the conference. In his debut collegiate head coaching campaign in 2024-25,
John Jakus led Florida Atlantic to fifth place with a 10-8 mark, the program's fifth consecutive season with a winning record in conference play.
