BOCA RATON, Fla. – After capturing its second CUSA Championship, third conference title all-time and earning its third NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship appearance in program history, the Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team comes in at No. 15 in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll.
The 2025 CUSA champions finished the season at 21-15 overall and 4-2 in CUSA play, marking the fourth 20-win season and tying for the second-most single-season wins in program history.
Ashleigh Adams finished with a program-leading 27-6 record this season, and while partner
Marketa Svozilova also finished with a record-breaking 26-5 record in 2025. The duo also finished the season tied for a program record 25 single-season wins, finishing at 25-5 as a pair.
Kate McLaughlin and
Julie Honzovicova also eclipsed 20 wins on the season, finishing tied for third with a 24-11 record each. The duo finished second on the team with an impressive 13-2 record as a pair to close out the season.
The Sandy Owls finished the 2025 season as one of the most decorated seasons in program history. Adams and Svozilova earned AVCA All-American honors, becoming just the fifth and sixth players in program history to earn the prestigious honor, in addition to being named the CUSA Pair of the Year. FAU also had four players earn AVCA Top Flight honors, five earn CUSA All-Conference honors, and Head Coach
Steve Grotowski earned his second CUSA Coach of the Year honor.
