BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic softball team retains its place in the national rankings, coming in at No. 24 in the NFCA Softball Coaches Poll on Tuesday morning.
After going 5-1 over the weekend in Tennessee, in which they outscored opponents 43-11, the Owls moved up one spot from the previous week after they made their first appearance in the NFCA rankings since 2017.
FAU has been the only nationally ranked team in the American Athletic Conference throughout the 2025 season. The Owls are now up to 20 wins, tied for third most in the nation, ahead of their opening series of AAC play against Wichita State from Friday, Mar. 7 to Sunday, Mar. 9, airing on ESPN+.
Four games are on the Owls' docket in the upcoming week, first with a midweek matchup against Toledo on Wednesday, Mar. 5, airing on FAUSports.com at 6 p.m., before hosting the Shockers of Wichita State from Mar. 7 to 9 on ESPN+.
