BOCA RATON, Fla. – After three run-rule victories against UTSA, the No. 22 Florida Atlantic softball team recorded a sweep in the American Athletic Conference weekly awards. Junior third baseman Jesiana Mora was named the AAC Player of the Week while Autumn Courtney earned Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.

The duo led the Owls (32-5, 11-1) to a historic conference sweep over the weekend, scoring in double digits in all three games of a league series for the first time in program history while achieving a run-rule victory in three games versus a conference opponent, not done by the program since 1996.
Mora wins her first collegiate player of the week award after previously earning an honorable mention. She finished 5-for-10 at the plate with three home runs and 10 RBI to go with two stolen bases.
Friday's 13-0 victory saw her record the first multi-home run game of her career, first with a grand slam and then a solo shot for five RBI on the night. She added an RBI in Saturday's 14-3 win and then opened scoring on Sunday with a three-run blast in the top of the first, and drove in a fourth run later on in the 11-2 victory. Mora currently leads the team in home runs (seven) and is second in hits (40).
Courtney receives her third pitcher of the week honor of the season after earning two of three victories for Florida Atlantic. Friday's 13-0 shutout, seeing her yield just one hit while pitching all five innings of the shortened game, marked her 50th career win. She then got the win on Sunday to move to a conference-best 15-1 on the season. Courtney continues to lead both the team and the league in strikeouts with 109.
Rolling through AAC play, the Owls lead the conference on offense in batting average (.334), hits (330), and runs (246), while defensively they hold the lowest ERA (2.47), opponent batting average (.206) and have the most strikeouts with 208.
Friday's first pitch is at 6 p.m. followed by Saturday at 2 p.m. and concluding on Sunday at noon. All games are on ESPN+.
