Florida Atlantic Moves to No. 14 in AVCA Week Four Coaches Poll

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic beach volleyball checks in at No. 14 in the AVCA Beach Volleyball Coaches Poll week four rankings announced on Tuesday.
The Sandy Owls are 10-6 overall in 2025, after finishing 2-2 this past weekend, earning wins against CUSA foe UAB and No. 20 Georgia State.
Ashleigh Adams and Marketa Svozilova continue to lead the way for the Sandy Owls, going 3-1 during the Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational with wins against UAB, Georgia State, and No. 3 TCU. The duo improved their team-leading record to 14-2 this season. Kate McLaughlin and Kendall Mignerey, Klaire VanDeusen and Julie Honzovicova, and Maddie Sides and Shayna Wolf all finished the weekend 2-2 with wins over UAB and Georgia State this weekend. McLaughlin and Mignerey rank second on the team at 9-7 overall, while VanDeusen and Honzovicova slot in third with an 8-8 record this season. Sydney Schroder and Shantel Starling collected their biggest win of the season, defeating four-time national champion No. 4 USC, moving them to 6-8 on the season, which ranks fourth on the team.
Florida Atlantic next heads to DeLand, Florida, this weekend to compete at the Stetson Beach Blast on Friday and Saturday, March 21-22.
