BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 23 Florida Atlantic softball team has received yet another weekly American Athletic Conference accolade. Senior pitcher
Ainsley Lambert was named an honorable mention recipient following two victories in the Owls' (27-4) sweep over UAB.
Entering in a relief role, Lambert delivered six masterful innings in the circle, energizing the team in back-to-back comeback wins. She allowed zero runs and just three hits to go with four timely strikeouts, two of them coming in the bottom of the seventh inning to finish Sunday's 5-3 win.
With her performances this weekend, Lambert lowers her season ERA to a conference-best 1.17 and moves to 4-0 on the season in addition to her nation-best seven saves. She has not allowed an earned run in four straight appearances.
The Owls remain on top of the AAC as the only undefeated team in league play and have earned a conference honor in each week the of regular season.

The Owls host Charlotte from Mar. 21 to Mar. 23 at FAU Softball Stadium on ESPN+. Friday's game will be "Kids Night" with all children 12 and under able to enter for free. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
