Owls Ranked as High as No. 22 In National Polls

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic softball team continues to maintain their spot in the national rankings, placing in the top 25 for three official polls. The Owls come in at No. 22 in the D1 Softball poll, No. 25 in Softball America, and have made their 2025 debut in the NFCA Softball Coaches Poll, also coming in at No. 25 for their first appearance in the rankings since 2017.

Coming off a 6-0 week that included a five-game sweep on the road at the Stetson Invitational, Florida Atlantic's 15-2 record is the second best start in program history. The Owls rank 14th nationally in hits with 147 and 29th in runs at 103. 15 wins is currently tied for the second most in the nation. Among those 15 wins includes victories over Ole Miss from the SEC, Kansas from the Big 12, Minnesota from the Big Ten, and ACC opponents Clemson and NC State.

The Owls' season continues on Wednesday, Feb. 26, hosting UCF (12-6-1) at the FAU Softball Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. FAU will then hit the road to participate in Austin Peay's Governors Classic from Feb. 28 to Mar. 2, followed by a one-game matchup against Middle Tennessee on Monday, Mar. 3. at 6:30 p.m. EST
