BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team will travel to DeLand, Florida on Thursday, Feb. 20 to play Stetson at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center, beginning at 1 p.m. They will return home this Friday, Feb. 21 for a 5 p.m. match versus in-state foe Central Florida at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
The Owls remain undefeated at 4-0 on the year. FAU's last match was Saturday, Feb. 1 at North Florida where the Owls came away with a 7-0 win. Stetson holds a record of 6-2 coming off a loss against UCF on Friday, Feb. 14. UCF is also undefeated, holding a record of 7-0 coming into Friday's match. Thursday's meeting is the 25 meeting between the Owls of FAU and the Hatters of Stetson with FAU being the victor in 10 of the previous contests, including a 5-2 win a year ago January. The history between FAU and UCF is similar with this week's match being the 27th between the two schools. It is the 16th contest played at FAU with UCF holding the 22-4 edge.
