No. 50 Owls Improve to 5-0 in 2025

DELAND, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's tennis, who broke into the ITA national rankings today at No. 50, captured a 4-0 road victory over host Stetson.
The Owls remained perfect with the win and moved to 5-0 on the year while the Hatters fell to 6-3. FAU will return home to play host to UCF, ranked No. 20 nationally, at 5 p.m. Friday.
FAU and Stetson split doubles matches with the duo of Lexi Silna and Panna Bartha splitting the best of three matches at 1-1 with a 6-4 victory on court #3.. The newcomer pair of Malwina Rowinska and Lara Smejkal then clinched the doubles point for FAU with a 7-5 court #1 win.
The two teams moved into singles play with the Owls holding the edge. Silna gave the Owls their second point of the match with a court #5 7-5, 6-1 win. Sophomore Panna Bartha won court #2 in straight sets, but needed tiebreakers to do it at 7-5, 7-5. The match was clinched by Rowinska who was a 7-5, 7-5 victor on court #4.
