BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 25 Florida Atlantic softball team will host in-state rival FIU on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the FAU Softball Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Sponsored by Baptist Health, the outing will mark FAU's "pink game" in support of cancer awareness and research. T-shirts will be given out while supplies last and all fans are encouraged to wear pink.
For the Owls, they look to build on their 9-2 record before their first road trip of the 2025 campaign.
The Owls hosted the Joan Joyce Classic from Thursday, Feb. 13 – to Sunday, Feb. 16.
Game 1 – Florida Atlantic 13, Minnesota 4 (5 innings)
The Owls run-ruled Big 10 opponent Minnesota in a 13-4 victory, scoring multiple runs in each of their four innings at-bat. Sophomore
Ciara Gibson launched a three-run home run, the first of her collegiate career.
Game 2 – Villanova 1, Florida Atlantic 0
Despite a combined 13 strikeouts between junior

Ainsley Lambert, the Owls fell to the Wildcats for their first loss of the season. Baserunners on second and third in the bottom of the seventh inning put FAU in position to come back with two outs but ultimately came up short.
Game 3 – Florida Atlantic 4, NC State 3
The Owls fell behind 3-0, until they loaded the bases consecutive times in the bottom of the third innings. Senior OF

Chloe Yeatts smacked the ball to centerfield for a bases-clearing three-run double. Those four runs were all FAU needed for the win.
Game 4 – Florida Atlantic 2, Dartmouth 0
Courtney set the tone early, striking out the side of the first inning and recorded two more in the second. She recorded eight punchouts on the afternoon to up her conference-leading total to 46 on the season
Game 5 – Louisville 4, Florida Atlantic 0
The Owls put forth 11 hits, with junior third baseman
Jesiana Mora going 3-for-4 at the plate, but could not score a run. Runners were put in scoring position in the bottom of the fifth and seventh inning.
- The Owls are led by Head Coach Jordan Clark in her third season at the helm of the program with a record of 86-38. She is 13-10 when facing opponents from the Big 10, Big 12, SEC, and ACC
- Florida Atlantic ranks at No. 25 in both the Softball America and D1Softball poll
- Earning weekly accolades in consecutive weeks, Courtney was named an AAC Honorable Mention, along with freshman OF Bella Foran
- Courtney leads the AAC in strikeouts (46, 18 more than second place in the conference and fourth nationally), ERA (0.25), and wins (4). She is nearing 500 career Ks, currently at 494.
- Foran, who is on a seven-game hit streak, currently leads the conference and is tied for 18th in the nation with 17 hits. She also leads the league in batting average (.548)

The Owls will head to DeLand, Florida, to compete in the Stetson Invitational from Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23.
