Messer Named to HERO Sports Group of Five All-American Team

BOCA RATON, FLA. – Members of the Florida Atlantic football team continue to be recognized following the 2025 season, with redshirt junior WR Easton Messer named to the HERO Sports Group of Five All-American Team, redshirt senior DB Damarius McGhee selected to Sports Info Solutions' American Conference All-American team, and six Owls were selected to the 2025 Pro Football Sports Network College All-American Conference Football Team.
Messer earns the HERO Sports Group of Five third team distinction after finishing the regular season leading the nation in receptions (104), the second most in a season in FAU history, and finished second in the American Conference in receiving yards (1,052). He tallied eight touchdowns: six receiving, one rushing, and one passing, and No. 22 nationally in all-purpose yards per game (112.5).
Selected to the SIS American All-Conference team, McGhee made an impact at cornerback, registering 32 tackles with four pass breakups. He also recorded the team's second longest fumble return in program history, resulting in a 95-yard touchdown.
The six Owls on the PFSN College Team are Messer and Lawrence Johnson (first team), Vincent Fiacable and Terez Reid (second team), and McGhee and Jayshon Platt (third team).
