BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's basketball Head Coach
LeAnn Freeland announced the first signing of the Owls' 2026 class with freshman guard Juliette Leroux on Wednesday.
"Juju was one of the first recruits our staff targeted after taking the job in April," expressed head coach
LeAnn Freeland. "She's an explosive, skilled guard with good size and a high basketball IQ. Her highly competitive nature, leadership, and overall production helped South Fayette win a state title in 2025, while also contributing to her AAU program, SLAAM, competing in the Power 24 circuit. Our coaching staff and players are excited to announce Juju is an Owl!"
Leroux, from Bridgeville, Pa., joins the Owls as a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and basketball from South Fayette High School.
Leroux is a three-time WPIAL Champion with the Lions. As a junior, the Second Team All-State honoree helped lead the Lions to the first PIAA Class 5A State Championship in school history in 2025, earning Player of the Game honors. Leroux averaged 12.3 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game during her junior season. As a sophomore, Leroux was named Second Team All-Section. She was also a three-time All-State honoree for volleyball.
Academically, Leroux was named to South Fayette's highest honor roll.
