Florida Atlantic Falls Short on Senior Day

BOCA RATON, Fla – The Florida Atlantic women's soccer team fell to North Texas 1-0 on Senior Day on Sunday afternoon.
The Owls (4-11-3, 1-6-2) hosted the Mean Green (6-9-4, 2-4-3) for the last home match of the 2025 season. The ten seniors (Daniella Diaz, Morgan McDonald, Kayla Siddiqi, Sloane Young, Simone Rivard-Roberts, Michelle Horan, Madison Micioni, Megan Hogate, Stella Rubidoux, and Leila Etemadi) were honored during pregame.
North Texas took the lead in the 28th minute from an own goal by the Owls for a 1-0 lead. Both teams were tied at seven shots each at the end of the first 45 minutes of the match.
In the second half, freshman Lily Paisant started for Isabel Bostic. The Owls totaled eight shots in the second half, with two by Young and Hailey Santiago just missing and saved by the Mean Green goalkeeper. Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Small recorded six saves on the day, her career-high in a conference game in saves.
