Owls Prepare for 2025 American Individual Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's tennis will send two individuals to the 2025-26 American Conference Individual Championship slated for Oct. 23-26. The event will be held on the campus of Tulsa and will be hosted by the American.
Newcomer Alexia Patru, a freshman from Romania, and redshirt freshman Katrin Pavkova, from Vestec, Czech Republic, will represent FAU in both singles and doubles competitions, with the tournament winner advancing to the NCAA Individual Championship.
The duo will take to the courts at 9 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 23 versus Natalia Perez / Natalia Fantini of Tulane. Following doubles play, they will move to the singles courts where Patru will face Carolina Alonso on her home courts at 10 a.m. while Pavkova will play Temple's Irmak Ozturk.
