BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to host the Senior Day at the FAU Aquatic Center on Saturday, Jan. 18 against St. Thomas and Indian River (diving only). The action will begin at 11 a.m. EST.
The Owls will be recognizing 20 seniors this Saturday with a ceremony beginning prior to the meet at 10:30 a.m. EST.
Admission to all home events at the FAU Aquatic Center is free.

The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming & diving teams wrapped up 2024 with their annual FAU Fun Invite meet versus East Carolina and Old Dominion.
Women
- The day started with quick success for the Owls, winning the women's 200 relay reverse freestyle. The team of Roberta Circi, Yasemine Safargar, and Ocean Veldhouse won in a time of 1:35.03
- The team of Ella Freeman, Veldhouse, Aura Vilarrasa, and Presley Staretz won the 300 free relay (2:35.64)
- Senior Riley Trout took home first place in the 100 freestyle kick in a time of 1:07.2
- The Owls closed the day with a win in the 400 medley IM relay. Safargar, Staretz, Freeman, and Vilarrasa clocked in a time of 4:06.75
Men
- The men were victorious in the men's 200 relay reverse freestyle. Rush Clark, Timo Paisley and Ryan Stahl finished in at a time of 3:20.46
- Peyton Ming then began his busy day winning the 50 back (24.43), 100 butterfly (50.67), and the 100 IM reverse (53.47)
- In the diving events, Rocco Simonelli won both the 1-m (307.50) and 3-meter (285.30)
- The relay success continued with a win in the 300 free relay. Daniel Laureyssens, Paisley, Brett Reason, and Thornsberry took the win (4:06.75)
The Owls will get a weekend off before the women head south to face FIU. Hosted by the Panthers on Saturday, Feb. 1, the Owls will face FIU for the second time this year at Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center. Following the one-day competition, both the men and women's teams will gear up for their respective conference championships held Feb. 19-22.
