DENTON, Texas. – The Florida Atlantic softball team (32-10, 12-4 AAC) fell to North Texas on the road in game one of the series on Friday evening by a score of 4-2.

Gabby Sacco started in the circle for Florida Atlantic tonight in her 18th start of the season.
The Owls got on the board early in the game to take the lead in the first inning, but North Texas answered back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. In back-to-back innings, Florida Atlantic scored a run to regain the lead. The Mean Green scored in the bottom of the second to tie the game once again. In the fourth inning, North Texas took the lead and scored again in the sixth to extend it.

- The Owls remain in first place in the AAC standings
- Presutti recorded her eighth stolen base of the season
The Owls will face the Mean Green for the second game in the AAC matchup on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is set for 3 p.m EST and will air on ESPN+.
