Gonzalez Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic freshman Emilio Gonzalez has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced on Monday.
Gonzalez finished 6-for-13 (.462) in the three-game series against Memphis. In Friday's 13-5 victory, he homered twice, doubled, and drove in three runs. He added another pair of RBI in Saturday's 14-3 win to clinch the series. For the season, the 6'3" product of Cape Coral, Fla. and Island Coast HS leads the Owls with 25 runs driven in.

The Owls are 4-2 in conference play through two weeks in the AAC. On tap this week is a midweek visit from Miami followed by a three-game home series again No. 12 East Carolina beginning Friday night.
