3/2/2024 3:30:00 PM | Men's Basketball
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team (22-7 11-4 AAC) took down Tulane (13-15, 4-12 AAC) by a score of 79-73 on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls picked up their 11th straight home win to move to 12-1 on the season and have been victorious in 30 of their last 31 games played at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
Junior center Vlad Goldin led the way yet again with his fifth outing in six games with 20+ points and his fourth in a row.
Redshirt sophomore guard Nick Boyd knocked down back-to-back triples with senior guard Jalen Gaffney adding one of his own to spark the Owls' stretch that gave them a lead they did not relinquish.
Florida Atlantic aggressively crashed the boards throughout, with junior guard Alijah Martin tying his season high with 10 rebounds in the first half alone.
Goldin's offensive takeover continued, scoring 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting with multiple highlight dunks in his arsenal.
While the Green Wave brought the deficit within six, it was not enough for an FAU team that brought their A-game from the charity stripe, sinking 11 of their last 12 free throw attempts.
