BOCA RATON, Fla. – Alicia Mora of the Florida Atlantic women's diving team returns to Athens, Georgia to take on the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, beginning on Thursday, Mar. 21.
For the second straight year, Mora has qualified on the diving board under the direction of Head Diving Coach Alik Sarkisian. This time, she will compete in two events: the 1-meter and 3-meter.
Over the course of the 2023-24 season, Mora had impressive performances throughout with nine-first place finishes and season-best scores of 338.78 on the 3-meter against FIU on Jan. 27, 2024 and 316.60 on the 1-meter in the TYR Fall Classic on Oct. 7, 2023.
At the 2024 American Athletic Conference Championships, Mora earned a bronze medal on the 1-meter with a score of 289.80. But it was in the Zone 'B' Diving Championships where the Madrid, Spain native earned her spot in the NCAAs with a combined score of 561.91 on the 1-meter and 590.15 on the 3-meter.
