FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 2 seed Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team will face No. 11 Temple in the semifinals of the 2024 American Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday, tipping off at 5 p.m. EST and airing on ESPN2.
A spot in the AAC championship game is on the line, scheduled for Sunday at 3:15 p.m. EST.
It will be the second battle between the two Owl teams this season, with Florida Atlantic previously taking down Temple on Feb. 15 at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena by a score of 80-68. But the Owls of Temple are red hot, winning three games in three days including upsets over No. 6 seeded SMU and the No. 3 seed Charlotte.

Coming off two byes, FAU defeated North Texas for the third time this season in the AAC Tournament's quarterfinals, winning by a score of 77-71. Junior center Vlad Goldin had his second straight double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds as the Owls battled through adversity yet again, trailing for a majority of the second half.
- Goldin has scored 20+ points in seven of his last nine games. He ranks second on the team at 15.4 points per game while leading in rebounds per game with 6.9
- Junior guard Johnell Davis, the Co-AAC Player of the Year, continues to lead the team averaging 18.2 points per game and 3.0 assists
- With a 60-11 record over the past two seasons, Florida Atlantic has the third most wins in the nation and is tied for the fourth best win percentage (84.5%) in that timespan
- The Owl squads are tied for the longest win streak in the conference, both at four games
- Temple's offense revolves around junior guard Hysier Miller, who leads the team in points per game (15.3) and total assists (137), of which he has 85 more than the teammate closest to him
If FAU wins, they will advance to the AAC conference championship game on Sunday, Mar. 17, tipping off at 3:15 p.m. EST and airing on ESPN. Following the conclusion of the championship, they will await their fate to see where they land in the 2024 NCAA Tournament bracket.
