Owls Fall in AAC Quarterfinals

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer saw its season ended on Friday night with a 1-0 defeat to FIU in the American Conference Quarterfinals. The match saw a second consecutive record attendance of 1,293 fans at the FAU Soccer Stadium. The Owls finish the 2024 season at 7-6-3 while FIU advances to the semifinals against top-seed Memphis.
The difference on Friday night was an 11th minute goal by FIU's Eduardo Mustre. The Owls attempted more shot attempts in the match (6-3) but the Panthers landed more on target (3-2). Francisco Ranieri finished with two saves in net for Florida Atlantic.
