BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls close out their three-match road stretch on Wednesday as they head to Tampa for a midweek matchup against in-state rival South Florida. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Corral.
- Florida Atlantic enters the midweek matchup at 13-9 on the season and 5-5 in AAC play. The Owls split a pair of road matches this past weekend, falling in three at East Carolina but earning their first road win of the season with a four-set victory at Charlotte.
- As a team, the Owls lead the AAC in assists (1,053) and kills (1,112), and rank second in digs (1,327), third in assists per set (12.54), digs per set (15.80), kills per set (13.24), attacks (3,050), attacks per set (36.31), and opponent hitting percentage (.190).
- Offensively, the Owls are led by Katelynn Robine and Valeria Rosado. Robine leads the Owls, averaging 3.04 kills per set, while Rosado ranks second on the team, averaging 2.93 kills per set.
- Rosado also leads the Owls in digs, tallying 2.72 digs per set, followed by Isabelle Northam and Olivia Hart with 2.59 and 2.35 digs per set, respectively.
- Victoria Hensley leads the AAC in assists and assists per set, dishing out 907 assists, which ranks seventh nationally, and averaging 10.80 assists per set, which ranks 10th nationally.
- The Owls blocking leader is Kaila Ru, who averages 1.25 blocks per set, while Madison Dyer ranks second on the team, recording 0.75 blocks per set this season.
- South Florida is currently tied for first in the AAC, holding a 12-9 overall record and an 8-2 record in league play. The Bulls enter Wednesday's matchup, winning eight of their last 10 contests but going 1-2 over their last three, which included losses to the Owls and UTSA.
- As a team, the Bulls lead the AAC in assists per set (12.83), and rank second in kills per set (13.60) and assists (1,026), and third in hitting percentage (.227) and kills (1,088).
- The Bulls offense is led by conference leader Maria Clara Andrade, who is averaging a team-leading 4.26 kills per set, followed by Naiya Sawtelle, ranking second on the team with 3.45 kills per set.
- Caroline Dykes leads the Bulls in assists with 855 assists, averaging 10.69 assists per set.
- Defensively, Lia Schneider leads the Bulls in digs, averaging 4.10 digs per set, while Imani Hartfield and Tizi Puljiz lead South Florida at the net, tallying 0.69 and 0.62 blocks per set, respectively.
- Following Wednesday's matchup, the Owls will return to Paradise to host the Temple Owls on Sunday, Nov. 3. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
