Owls Wrap up Tri-Meet at Nova Southeastern

FORT LAUDERALE, Fla – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up their third meet of the season on Friday afternoon, a tri-meet hosted by Nova Southeastern and featuring Barry.
The Owls finished second out of three teams on the men's side and second on the women's side. The women totaled 130 points with the men finishing with 112.

Men
- The day began with an Owl victory in the men's 200 medley relay. The team of Peyton Ming, Brett Sasser, Daniel Laureyssens and Logan Thornsberry accumulated a time of 1:33.03
- Timo Paisley began his busy day with a victory in the 200 free (1:39.54) and was victorious again in the 100 free in a time of 45.58
- James Shevchenko continues to impress this season, winning the 200 fly in a time of 1:52.20
- The Owls also took the win in the 400 free relay thanks to the team of Andrew Billitto, Thornsberry, Laureyssens and Paisley, recording a time of 3:03.35
- The freshmen continued to make waves with Akant Durur, finishing second in the 1000 free (9:44.19) and 500 free (4:37.46)
- In the 100 back, Peyton Ming finished second (51.34)
Women
- Cica Carvalho continued her winning ways, taking the win in the 1000 free in a time of 10:25.72
- Talitha McEwan had herself a day full of victories beginning with a win in the 200 free (1:53.04). Her winning ways continued with a 500 free win in a time of 5:07.12
- Transfer Aura Vilarrasa had two victories today, her first of the season. She started the day winning the 100 back (58.52) and added another win in the 200 back (2:06.55)
- The highlight of the day came in the form of an Owls sweep in the 200 fly with Dolores Margni, Carvalho, and Lotta Palsi going 1-2-3
- The 400 free relay team took second to wrap up the day, with Bry Bellile, Ludo Pavia, McEwan and Margni recording a time of 3:32.41
- Amelia Robertson finished second in the 100 back (59.04)
- Bellile also finished second in the 50 free in a time of 24.32
ON DECK
