Owls Set for Nova Southeastern/Barry Meet

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back on the road Friday, Oct. 11 for a one-day meet, hosted by Nova Southeastern and including Barry.
Friday's action will begin at 2 p.m. EST.
This marks the first time since January 2013 that the Owls will compete in a meet hosted by Nova. While they were in Fort Lauderdale last year, the meet was rescheduled due to weather and was swam the next day at the FAU Aquatic Center.

LAST TIME OUT
Men
- Logan Thornsberry started the winning for Florida Atlantic, victorious in the 100 free with a time of 45.85
- Nick Shaffer grabbed another victory for the Owls, winning the 200 IM (1:55.87)
- Timo Paisley was victorious, winning the 200 free in a time of 1:40.44
- The Owls continued winning with Peyton Ming taking the 100 back (51.04).
- On the 3-meter dive, freshman Isac Faxius was the winner with a score of 325.30, his second victory of the season. This performance led to an ASUN Diver of the Week honor
Women
- Cica Carvalho got the first victory for the Owls in the 500 free in a time of 5:05.56, winning the event by nearly 3 seconds
- Dolores Margni continued the victories, winning the 200 fly (2:05.28)
- In the 100 free, Izzy Jones took second (53.15)
- The Owls had a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of Aura Vilarrasa, Ludo Pavia, Margni, and Jones logged a time of 3:47.24
ON DECK
