BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team once again saw their match on hold due to weather conditions, but following nearly a two-hour delay, the Owls took to the court and took control of the match to down the visiting Stetson, 5-2, on Saturday morning.

With the win, the Owls moved to 1-1 and will play host to FGCU at noon on Sunday.

"It was a good team win," said Alvarez. "They competed very good in every spot, playing disciplined tennis in both singles and doubles matches from the beginning until the last point. Tomorrow, we have another match against FGCU and we are looking forward to another battle on our home courts."
