Owls Sweep Roadrunners

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Florida Atlantic University softball team completed the sweep of UTSA on Sunday by a 10-1 tally. The Owls complete the regular season at 33-18 and 15-9 in Conference USA.
The Owls continued to put the pressure on UTSA, with a Caryssa Orland RBI single. A few batters later, Baker hit a two-RBI single to make it a 7-1 Owl lead.
Jesiana Mora ripped a two-run shot to center to make it a 10-1 FAU lead.
Ainsley Lambert entered in relief of Gabby Sacco, and tossed a clean last four innings with no runs allowed.
Boms Over Palms
In the second inning, Sommer Baker ripped a grand slam to center field to make it a 4-0 ballgame. Remarkably, it was the Owls' third grand slam on as many days, as Riley Ennis belted two grand slams earlier in the series.The Owls continued to put the pressure on UTSA, with a Caryssa Orland RBI single. C-USA Tourney Next Week
The Owls will compete in the C-USA tourney this week in Ruston, Louisiana. Florida Atlantic is the No. 4 seed and will play the winner of FIU and WKU on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.Follow FAU on Social Media
