BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team won their second spring break match and back-to-back matches for the second time this season. The Owls downed their visiting foe on Monday afternoon, besting LIU 6-1.

FAU captured doubles courts one and three to put the first point on the scoreboard. Sophomore Millie-Mae Matthews was the first to win a singles court and moved to 9-3 on the dual season and 11-7 overall. Matthews was followed by Victoria Gomez O'Hayon and Amber McGinnis. Both won in straight sets and McGinnis' match was the clincher, despite playing all of the matches out. Katerina Filip and Carla Galmiche also won their matches.

"It was a great team win," said Ricardo Gonzalez, FAU's director of tennis. "The girls are really starting to pick it up. We have some tough teams coming up, so we have got to stay sharp. We are excited for the next challenge."
