Raleigh, N.C./ Miami. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team wrapped up a busy weekend in multiple states.
Madlen Kappeler represented the Owls in the NC State-hosted Raleigh Relays, while the full squad competed at the UM Hurricane Collegiate Invitational on Saturday.
Records continued to fall, with
Jessica Lambert continuing her dominant 2023 by setting another FAU record, this time in the outdoor 800m.
- Madlen Kappeler tallied a time of 36:14.40 in the 10000m, the third best time in FAU history
- Jessica Lambert's record setting performance in the 800m was good for third place (2:07.8)
- Cara Simpson took third place in the 100m with a time of 11.86, good for ninth best in school history. Simpson also finished with a time of 24.28 in the 200m, now the eighth best time in FAU history
- Adrianna Mier joined Lambert in the 800m, finishing in ninth place with a time of 2:24.54
- The 4x400 relay team (Eriana Teague, Simpson, Melissa Mundell, Lambert) finished in third place with a time of 3:50.59
The Owls will head to High Point, North Carolina to compete in the VertKlasse Meet on Friday, Mar. 31.
