Krstec Named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University's Gi Krstec has been named a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American. The Owls' midfielder makes history in doing so, by becoming the first all-America recipient in FAU women's soccer history.

Krstec was a standout on the pitch and in the classroom throughout her collegiate career, tallying a 3.45 GPA while majoring in communications during her undergraduate degree, and she has since enrolled in FAU's renowned MBA of Sports Management program. Krstec also finished her career by earning United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region recognition as well as Conference USA Midfielder of the Year honors.

She had a special year on the field - All C-USA, C-USA Midfielder of the Year, all-South Region, and now United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American. Gi has combined excellence in the classroom and on the soccer field, and she is so deserving of this recognition. She defined the true meaning of student-athlete and we are excited for her future."

Krstec also earned All-C-USA Academic honors this past season
On the soccer field, she closed out her collegiate career with seven goals, three assists and 17 points this year
Over her career, Krstec scored 12 goals with seven assists for 31 points in 71 games played for FAU
Krstec also started in all 71 of those games since transferring to FAU from Maryland in 2018
Krstec recorded First Team All-C-USA in each of her final three seasons, as well as two Second Team United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors and a First Team All-Region honor this year
