BOCA RATON, Fla. – On the eve of the American Athletic Conference men's soccer semifinals, the league announced its all-conference teams on Wednesday. Florida Atlantic was represented three times led by graduate senior
Tom Abrahamsson on the first team.
Victor Claudel was named to the second team while
Oliver Moller-Jensen earned his place on the all-rookie team.
Â
In his fifth season in Paradise, Abrahamsson once again played nearly every minute at right back for the Owls. When he's named to the first 11 for Thursday's semifinal against Charlotte, Abrahamsson will join Stephan Johansson (1996-99) and Thomas Nygards (1995-98) as the only FAU players to start 71 games in their careers. The native of Goeta, Sweden had previously been named to the All-C-USA third team in both 2019 and 2021.
Â
After scoring four times in his first season as an Owl in 2022, Claudel has added another gear now as a graduate senior. He's second on the club with six goals and leads the team with 17 points.
Â
Freshman
Oliver Moller-Jensen looks to be primed for a special career as an Owl. The native of Denmark has made 12 starts on the wing, registering a goal and two assists. He burst onto the big stage in the season opener scoring the Owls' first goal in a thrilling 6-4 win over (RV) Lipscomb.
