BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's basketball (3-1) heads back on the road this weekend to open up a two-game road stretch, visiting the Kennesaw State Owls (1-3) on Saturday, Nov. 25 for a 2 p.m. tip at KSU Convocation Center and on ESPN+.
- The Owls head into Monday's contest at 2-1 overall, riding a two-game winning streak that includes an overtime win against North Florida, 84-75, and a home-opening win against the Chicago State Cougars, 80-57.
- As a team, the Owls rank second in the AAC in free throw attempts per game (24.25), third in winning percentage (.750), fourth in field goal percentage (.441), field goal percentage defense (.354), free throws made per game (15.75), and fewest fouls (17.0).
- The Owls are led offensively by Aniya Hubbard, who is averaging an incredible 22.5 points per game, ranking second in the AAC, and shooting 52 percent from the field, 42 percent from 3-point range, and 73 percent from the line. She also leads the Owls in steals, grabbing nine through four games, and has averaged 6.0 rebounds per contest.
- Jada Moore, and Janeta Rozentale have also averaged double-figures for the Owls this season, scoring 12.3 and 11.5 points per game, respectively.
- Rozentale leads the Owls on the glass, pulling down a team-leading nine rebounds per game and recording a double-double with a season-high 13 rebounds vs. Chicago State.
- The Owls assists leader is Devyn Scott, who has dished out a team-best 12 assists, averaging 3.0 per game this season.
- Kennesaw State enters this weekend's matchup at 1-3 overall and have dropped its last two contests against Georgia State, 62-52, and Georgia Tech, 77-38. The Owls picked up their sole win of the season so far against Life University, 62-45.
- The Owls offensive leaders this season are Keyarah Berry and Prencis Harden, who have averaged 10.8 and 8.0 points per game.
- Lee Lee Willis is Kennesaw State's assists leader, dishing out 17 and averaging 4.25 per game.
- Defensively, the Owls are paced by Kyndall Golden on the glass, pulling down 5.5 rebounds per game, while Golden and Carly Hooks have secured a team-leading four steals.
- Florida Atlantic leads the all-time series 4-1 against Kennesaw State and hold a perfect 2-0 record when playing in Kennesaw. The Owls have won the last two meetings, earning a 63-45 win in Kennesaw on Dec. 2, 2021, and a 67-59 victory last season on Dec. 2, 2022, in Boca Raton.
- The Owls will continue their two-game road trip on Wednesday, Nov. 29 as they head to Lincoln, Nebraska to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
