2023 NFL Owls - Week 10

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books with seven former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the 10th week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (7)
#2 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Tennessee Titans
- Al-Shaair, currently ninth in tackles across the NFL, added six to bring his season total to 89. He also showcased his range in coverage, not allowing a completion in two targets thrown his away. The Titans ultimately fell to Al-Shaair's former teammate Brandon Walton and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 20-6. More important than the game score, however, was the linebacker continuing to capture the hearts of football fans and fellow players with his powerful story of overcoming adversity.
Titans' Record: 3-6

#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Bryant was seen plenty in Week 10, not only making the start but adding 24 offensive snaps and 14 special teams plays. In addition to making a catch, the Browns gave him his now-signature sneak to convert the fourth-and-short. He also made an impressive tackle in punt coverage. Down 24-9 late in the third quarter, Cleveland stormed back to pick up a huge 33-31 divisional win over the Baltimore Ravens
Browns' Record: 6-3
Next Game: vs. Pittsburgh (and Pierre) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- Hendrickson showed up once again. In his most recent outing, he took part in a sack that turned into a forced fumble and recovery by Cincinnati's defense. He is now up to 8.5 on the season, tied for seventh in the NFL. While his day against the Houston Texans, in which the Bengals fell 30-27 on a last second field goal, ended early due to a scary-looking injury, he is good to go on a very quick turnaround.
Bengals' Record: 5-4
Next Game: at Baltimore – Thursday, 8:15 p.m. (Prime Video)
#1 Greg Joseph | K | Minnesota Vikings
- Minnesota is on a roll and so is Joseph. The kicker nailed a 40-yard and a 33-yard field goal and all three of his extra point attempts, where he is climbing the ranks at ninth most in the NFL. The Vikings picked up a victory, their fifth straight, against the New Orleans Saints by a score of 27-19.
Vikings' Record: 6-4
Next Game: at Denver – Sunday, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)
#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Pierre was active on special teams in Pittsburgh's 23-19 win over the Green Bay Packers. In 19 snaps, he made a season high three tackles on kick and punt coverage.
Steelers' Record: 6-3
Next Game: at Cleveland (and Bryant) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#26 Devin Singletary | RB | Houston Texans
- In his second start with the Texans, "Motor" stepped up with the best game of his career with 30 carries and a career-high 150 rushing yards, most in the NFL in Week 10. He also added a touchdown run that was set up by his 11-yard catch on the previous play. Simply put, Singletary was unstoppable and gave Houston exactly what they needed in the last second 30-27 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. For his efforts, he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, the first NFL honor to his name.
Texans' Record: 6-4
Next Game: vs. Arizona – Sunday 1 p.m. (CBS)
#73 Brandon Walton | OT | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- In Tampa Bay's 20-6 win over Al-Shaair and the Titans, Walton again served on the offensive field goal unit for four snaps.
Buccaneers' Record: 4-5
