Owls Start Strong at TYR Fall Classic

MIAMI – Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams kicked off day one of the TYR Fall Classic with an incredibly strong start.

The men's team currently stands in first place with 268 points, 40 ahead of the second-place team, while the women's team is in fourth.

The 400 medley relay team of Peyton Ming, Dalton Lillibridge, Jackson Kirk, and Jacob Rubin took first place (3:19.48)
Ming continued his strong start to the season with victories in the 100 fly (49.95) and 100 back (50.45)
Brandon Shepherd was the top diver in the 3-meter with a score of 261.25
Timo Paisley was victorious in the 200 free (1:40.01)
Rubin finished in second place in the 50 free (21.04)
Nick Shaffer placed in third in the 400 IM (4:12.86)

Women

Alicia Mora dominated the 1-meter dive with a score of 316.60
Izzy Jones took first place in the 50 free (23.74)
Riley Trout tallied the win in the 100 back (57.93)
Yasmine Safargar impressed in the 400 IM with a time of 4:28.94, finishing in second place
