BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The first-place Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team begins a three-game road trip on Monday, Jan. 16. The Owls, riding a 15-game winning streak with a 16-1 record (6-0 C-USA) will square off against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at 7 p.m. eastern and 6 p.m. central time on Monday night.

- The Owls continued their remarkable winning streak, which is currently the second longest active streak and overall streak in the nation this season (two behind Charleston, 17 games) with a key 66-62 win over North Texas on Saturday
- FAU finished strong to cap off the sweep of the Mean Green. FAU trailed 56-51 with nine minutes remaining but used a 9-0 run to go in front 60-56. The Owls held North Texas without a bucket in the final 2:50
- The Owls are tied for third in the nation in winning percentage (.941), tied with Kansas & Purdue
- FAU is also one of only five one-loss teams in the nation (Charleston, Houston, Purdue, Kansas)
- Johnell Davis has been the go-to guy for the Owls lately. In C-USA games, Davis is averaging a team-high 16.8 points per game on 51.5% shooting from the field and 47.8% shooting from 3-point range
- Vladislav Goldin scored 12 points and tallied eight rebounds against North Texas and iced the game with two free throws with 8 seconds remaining
- FAU forced 16 turnovers and had a 28-16 edge in points in the paint on the Mean Green
- The Owls and Hilltoppers split the season series last year
