Florida Atlantic Owls seek second C-USA sweep at North Texas Saturday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women's basketball (10-4, 3-2 C-USA) heads to the Lone Star State on Saturday, Jan. 14, as the Owls seek their second C-USA sweep of the season against the North Texas Mean Green (4-11, 1-4 C-USA) and close out a four-game road trip to open the new year. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET inside The Super Pit and on ESPN+.
Aniya Hubbard has continued to help lead the Owls as their top scorer, posting her sixth team-leading performance of the season this past Wednesday against FIU. Hubbard is averaging a team-best 13.8 points per game, shooting 46 percent from the field, while also pacing the Owls in assists, dishing out 2.6 per game, and steals, averaging 2.3 per contest. Janeta Rozentale has ranked second on the team in scoring, averaging 9.3 points per game, while leading the Owls on the glass, averaging 6.1 rebounds per game, and blocks, averaging 0.6 blocks per contest.
As a team, the Owls rank first in C-USA in 3-point percentage defense (.260), second in rebounding margin (5.6), rebounds per game (41.2), defensive rebounds per game (27.9), offensive rebounds per game (14.0), and fewest fouls per game (16.1), third in winning percentage (.714), scoring defense (60.5), and field goal percentage defense (.380), fourth in steals per game (8.5) and turnovers forced per game (17.7), and fifth in free throw attempts per game (21.0) through 14 games this season.
