BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team is riding the nation's second-longest winning streak at 14 games. The Owls (15-1, 5-0 C-USA) will battle North Texas (14-3, 5-1 C-USA) with first place in Conference USA on the line on Saturday, Jan. 14.

These two teams met just 15 days ago, when the Owls took a low-scoring 50-46 victory in Denton. The Owls' defense limited the Mean Green to just 34% (18-of-53) shooting from the field and 13.6% (3-of-22) from 3-point range.
Vladislav Goldin came up big for the Owls with his first career double-double at 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

- FAU is fresh off a 77-73 overtime victory at FIU last time out, in the Owls' first overtime game of the season
- The Owls trailed the Panthers, 59-50 with 7:26 remaining, but stormed back with a 16-7Â run to tie it up in regulation
- Johnell Davis led the way for FAU with 17 points and five rebounds
- Alijah Martin, Nick Boyd & Michael Forrest all tallied 12 points
- The Owls won the battle on the boards, outrebounding the Panthers by a 44-35 margin. FAU is 12-0 this year when it wins the rebounding category
- The Owls recorded 18 assists, and have posted more assists then their opponent in every game this season. Jalen Gaffney recorded a game-high five helpers, and is tied with Bryan Greenlee for the Owls' lead with 38 assists on the year
- In conference games, Davis leads the Owls with an average of 17.0 points per game on 49% shooting. He is shooting 47.4% (9-of-19) from 3-point land in C-USA action Â
