BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls (9-4, 2-2 C-USA) return to the Sunshine State on Wednesday as they travel south on I-95 looking to earn a season sweep over rival FIU (8-5, 3-1 C-USA) on January 11. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET inside Ocean Bank Convocation Center and on ESPN+.

The Owls are entering Wednesday's contest at 9-4 overall and 2-2 in C-USA play so far this season and are on a two-game skid after dropping a pair of contests last week against UAB (75-47) and Charlotte (77-67). FAU is in its second year under head coach

Aniya Hubbard has had a stellar stretch for the Owls, recording three 20-plus point performances over the past four games. Hubbard is averaging a team-leading 13.5 points per contest, shooting 47 percent from the field, in addition to pacing the Owls in assists, dishing out 2.4 per game, and steals, averaging 1.8 per contest.
Janeta Rozentale ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 9.5 points per game, while leading the Owls on the boards, averaging 5.9 rebounds per game, and blocks, averaging 0.7 blocks per contest.

FIU enters Wednesday's contest at 8-5 and 3-1 in C-USA play this season. The Panthers are currently on a four-game winning streak, earning wins over Bradley (65-57), North Texas (86-67), Charlotte (71-63), and UAB (91-89).
The Panthers have been led by Kaliah Henderson and Sifa Joyeuse, averaging double-digits with 13.3 and 12.5 points per game. Tanajah Hayes leads the Panthers in assists, dishing out 3.8 assists per game, and steals, averaging 2.7 steals per contest. Defensively, Hope Butera leads FIU on the boards, averaging 5.9 rebounds per game, and Maria Torres leads the Panthers in blocks, recording 0.8 blocks per game.
