BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team will open play this weekend, when the Owls travel to Fort Myers for the 2022 Bedford Cup, host by Florida Gulf Coast University, and played over three days, Sept. 23-25.
The event is comprised of two draws of 32 individuals, who hail from colleges within the state of Florida. Individuals have the opportunity to play both singles and doubles. Participants in this year's event represent: Florida Atlantic, host FGCU, FIU, Florida, Florida A&M, North Florida, Stetson and USF.
"I'm extremely excited to see the team back in action this weekend. The main focus for our girls is to compete hard. I will be looking to see how the girls handle adversity and how well they keep their composure in key moments This is our first tournament back, and we will be facing a lot of our rivals. Our girls are excited and ready to compete once again."
