FAU-Summer Ball Weekend Recap

Members of the Florida Atlantic University baseball team have scattered across the east coast this summer to keep their games sharp. Listed below are some of the top highlights from the last few weeks in June. Be sure to follow @FAUBaseball on twitter for more updates.

Bryan Boully, Saugerties Stallions (Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League)
Boully pitched five shutout innings on Friday in a 6-1 victory. The soon-to-be sophomore struck out three, walked two, and scattered five hits. On June 18, he struck out six in three scoreless frames. In four appearances so far this summer, Boully holds a 2.18 ERA in 12.1 innings.

Max Martzolf, Wellington Colts (Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches)
The Owls' lefthanded reliever has been making noise on the other side of the ball so far this summer. Martzolf is hitting .419 (13-for-31) in 12 games with eight RBI. Most recently, he went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBI on Sunday. In his normal role on the bump, Martzolf has made three appearances and is yet to allow a run.

Nicholas Del Prado, Bethesda Big Train (Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League)
Del Prado racked up seven K's and allowed just one hit in five shutout innings on June 18. In three appearances this summer, he's 1-0 with one save and a 2.00 ERA.

Patrick Ward, Juno Beach Loggerheads (Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches)
The incoming freshman is hitting .375 (12-for-32) in 32 ABs so far this summer. Ward has also logged six scoreless innings on the mound in two appearances.

Armando Albert, Strasburg Express (Vermont Baseball League)
Albert had another two-hit game on Saturday and is hitting .286 (10-for-35) in 13 games. He's driven in five runs, scored nine, and stolen five bases.

Nolan Schanuel, Hyannis Harbor Hawks (Cape Cod Baseball League)
Schanuel had his third multi-hit game of the summer in Sunday's 4-4 tie. He finished 2-for-3 with a run scored. The junior has a hit in four of his last six games.

Jackson Ross, Keene Swamp Bats (New England Collegiate Baseball League)
Ross went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI in Saturday's 8-5 loss. He has three home runs and 15 RBI in 16 games so far this summer for the Swamp Bats.

Joey Slattery, West Boca Snappers (South Florida Collegiate Baseball League)
Slattery continues to rack up base hits for the Snappers. The sophomore is hitting .357 (15-for-42) in 15 games. He also has seven steals. Slattery had back-to-back two-hit efforts on Friday and Sunday this past weekend.

Jack Clarke, Boca Raton Blazers (South Florida Collegiate Baseball League)
Clarke is hitting .306 (15-for-49) in 14 games while adding in one home run, eight RBI, and five stolen bases.

Daulton Frank, Palm Beach Diamond Ducks (South Florida Collegiate Baseball League)
Frank went 3-for-3 on Friday night and followed that up with a double and two RBI on Sunday. He's currently second on the team with 10 RBI in 18 games.
